Toil- Flatfoot 56
(Paper & Plastick)
July 24th marks the latest release from Chicago’s, Flatfoot 56.
Toil (Paper & Plastick) is a blistering, thought-provoking, inspiring, collection of original music that effortlessly combines the best elements of rock, folk, Celtic, and that legendary Chicago hardcore. From the powerful lead off track “Brother Brother”, to the Folk based title track “Toil”, there’s so many highlights here that nearly anyone can find something they dig. And at that point, it’s only a matter of time until they dig the rest!
Other standouts for me include “I Believe It”, “Live Or Die Trying”, and “This Time”. I find myself singing right with each one, no matter if I’m at home dancing in the living room with my daughter, alone in the car, or listening on the i-pod in the middle of the factory floor at work. It will be no surprise to see this album become the biggest to date for Flatfoot 56. Not just among their loyal and solid fan base, but by music fans in general looking for something new. Something that will re-spark their interest in great music.
Let me save you some time in your search, seek out “Toil” from Flatfoot 56 and soak it in!
